7 Tips on How to Assemble a Springfree Trampoline
Below we've listed our top installation tips, with a few demos from our Springfree pros to ensure your kids are bouncing as soon as possible:
Download the BILT App
Many of our available trampoline models & best-selling accessories are accessible on the BILT App.
If you’re looking for a seamless self-assembly experience, the BILT app could be your best resource for installation. The app is free to download and offers fast, 3D, step-by-step instructions that can be a huge help for those that want to put up the trampoline themselves.
Once you download the app, search for the specific Springfree Trampoline model you purchased and that will take you to the 3D instructions. The instructions are easy to follow and can be stopped, replayed or skipped ahead at your discretion.
2. Assemble the Trampoline Together
Springfree recommends that two adults work on assembling the trampoline together. Make this a fun weekend project and work in tandem to set up the trampoline as efficiently as possible.
Under normal circumstances, Springfree Trampolines typically take up to 2-3 hours to install. Block out some time on a Saturday to assemble it and go celebrate afterward with a nice dinner!
3. Keep the Instructions Close
Inside your Springfree delivery package will be detailed instructions that are useful for installing your trampoline. If you would rather have the physical instructions instead of using the BILT app, this would be your best choice.
You can always download the instructions from our website, as well.
Every Springfree Trampoline model is different, so if you decide to seek out resources online, make sure you’re watching the right videos and following the exact instructions.
4. Allow Yourself Plenty of Time to Assemble
As we mentioned in the second tip, the installation should take around two or three hours, so ensure you allow yourself enough time to have it completed while you still have daylight.
Also, check the weather before assembling the trampoline: You don’t want to get stuck in the rain when you’re halfway done setting it up.
5. Focus on Technique
Believe it or not, correctly putting up a Springfree Trampoline requires some technique.
If you’re having to use excessive force when conducting an action like inserting the mat rods into the net holes, your technique could be a little off. If the instructions are followed accurately, everything should fit seamlessly.
Let’s go over six tips for technique that can help you while assembling your Springfree Trampoline:
Tip 1: Ensure the net is around the frame with the mat rods through each hole prior to installing the mat
Tip 2: Check to make sure the tag on all Mat Rod Holders are catching on the mat before attempting to install
Tip 3: Put your right leg forward, ensure your right elbow is pressed into your right hip and have your palm facing upwards
Tip 4: Use a quick, full body movement to drive the mat rod forward. Slow movements will be difficult and inefficient.
Tip 5: Push the ball of the mat rod past the Mat Rod Holder, then slightly upwards, and as the mat rod comes back towards you, it will pop into the Mat Rod Holder.
Tip 6: Start by inserting the mat rods at all 'blue marked' locations on the mat and frame. This will spread the tension. Then insert the mat rod to the RIGHT of each of the blue marked locations. Continue this technique until you can simply fill in the remaining rods and the tension is well spread out. (This can be difficult for some; refer to Steps 26 and 43 on the ‘Medium Oval’ Springfree Trampoline in the BILT app if you get stuck).

6. Put the Basketball Hoop on First!
If you assemble the trampoline fully but didn’t install the FlexrHoop, you will have to take the net rods off, install the hoop and stand the net back up again by putting the enclosure rods in place.
Pro Tip: It would be advised to check the accessory manuals before assembling the trampoline to make your installation more streamlined.

7. Finish Your Trampoline Assembly Right
Your trampoline is just about ready to jump on and all you’ve got left to do is raise the enclosure net. This is the part of installation that we receive questions about most often so here’s one last handy tip:
When you push the net rods into the pockets at the top of the net, you’ll feel some resistance near, but not quite at, the top. Check the location of the ball at the top of the net rod and, if it’s not quite at the top, push it past the stitching so that it’s securely positioned at the top of the pocket. Ensure you hear a ‘pop’ when inserting the net rods into the net rod pockets. Once you’ve done this with all of the net rods you can start raising the net. Find full installation videos here.

What Not to Do When Assembling a Springfree Trampoline
Before you start assembling your Springfree Trampoline, here are a few things you DO NOT want to do when installing your trampoline:
Step away from the power tools… and the hammers and the rubber mallets. You’ll only ever need to use the tools provided with your Springfree package.
Don’t twist the mat edge. If you need to remove a mat rod from its socket, use the same semi-circular technique you used to get it in there, just in the opposite direction.
