We've got you covered!
5 Indoor/Outdoor Activities for Kids to Enjoy
Here are five indoor and outdoor activities to keep your kids (and the whole family!) entertained at home:
1 – Treasure Hunting
This one is a fun twist on the classic Easter Egg Hunt!
Hide small objects around the house or yard and let your kids try to find them.
A couple rolls of large coins are easily obtainable from your local bank and will motivate even older kids to join in the fun.
If it’s near Halloween, try hiding chocolate coins.
Alternately, you can hide a variety of small objects and assign a value to each one.
Just be sure to keep a list of where you hid everything!
2 – Jumping on a Springfree Trampoline
Jumping on a trampoline is not only fun, it’s good exercise! Get those kids up and moving, literally.
If you have a large group of kids to entertain, we recommend choosing trampoline games that can involve kids waiting for their turn to jump!
3 – Pen and Paper Games
If your family is limiting screen time, pen-and-paper games can be a great option.
They might also provide a welcome option for older family members less comfortable with tech to engage with younger ones.
In addition to classics such as Hangman or Dots, here’s a list of options that require basic supplies you likely already have around the house!
4 – Create an Obstacle Course
This idea can be done either indoors or outdoors.
If you’re thinking indoor activity, you can make ample use of chairs, pillows, blankets, and the like.
Outdoors, your scope vastly expands.
For example, a garden hose can outline the course and some orange cones from a home goods store can be obstacles.
If it’s leaf season, consider making a massive pile of leaves suitable for jumping into (always check carefully for sticks or other hidden hazards).
Make the finish line your Springfree Trampoline.
The first to make it to the jump zone wins!
5 – Decorate the House and Backyard
Whether you’re hosting a party or not, decorating the house and backyard can be a great activity for keeping kids entertained and maybe even getting some sneaky help with cleaning up!
After all, you’ll need a clear space to work and you don’t want to get dust on your fun new decorations.
Party and craft stores are all great places to find affordable options.
Parents whose children really enjoy crafts can get more mileage from this idea as kids can create before they decorate, but even less art-inclined kids can enjoy decorating the backyard and their Springfree.
Hopefully, with these five at-home ideas, you can get the entire family involved in the fun!
