“Miracle-Gro for the Brain”

John Ratey, author of A User's Guide to the Brain, calls exercise "Miracle-Gro for the brain" because of the role it plays in stimulating nerve growth factors. Studies show that regular physical activity supports child brain development by improving memory, concentration, and positive outlook. Researchers have even found that kids who ran for 15-45 minutes before school were less distracted and more attentive to schoolwork.

Two Niagara schools even tested a program called Sparking Life which requires kids to exercise vigorously for 20 minutes before class. They found that students who exercised before math class increased their problem-solving abilities by an average of 20% compared to a two per cent average improvement for other students!

That’s why we created Math Hopper for tgoma – to get kids learning and moving at the same time.

Math Hopper is a perfect introduction to math. It has 10 levels ranging from counting, addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Kids solve math questions on the screen by jumping three times on the mushroom with the correct answer. It’s perfect for kids of all ages and math skills of all ranges. Math Hopper kids gets jumping to unlock the brain.

Here’s a tip – let kids jump on the trampoline for 10 minutes in the morning before school. Jumping will wake up their mind and body, and get them ready for learning!

“Luke was playing the math game where a multiplication problem would pop up on the screen along with 4 answer choices and he had to jump ‘on’ the answer!  It was the coolest thing ever!” – Momfessionals
