Critiques by Competitors
Springfree™ Trampoline is quickly developing a winning reputation with consumers. Among other awards; our design was voted US Product of the Year 2010 by 60,000 American families.
As you’d expect, vendors of spring-based trampolines are feeling the pressure. Several are doing the only thing they can – trying to combat superior technology with misinformation or myths.
We are committed to honest and truthful sales and marketing practices. As such, we don’t name competitors or criticize their products.
We do however, like to provide clear and professionally researched information and clarify misleading statements where they are published.
Here we’ve clarified some competitor claims:
1: Can the rods overlap and 'pinch' or trap someone?
This issue was raised after a competitor video showed a carrot being snapped between two rods when an adult male jumper landed intentionally with extreme force on the extreme outside edge of the SoftEdge™ mat.
After many years of the product being in the market and hundreds of thousands of sales, we have never heard of this scenario. It is highly unlikely it would occur in normal backyard use. Nevertheless, we initiated independent third party testing to assure parents there is no pinch risk presented in the Springfree™ Trampoline design.
For more information read the Spring Rod Deflection Test Report 2010.

2: Can a jumper hit the ground even though there's a net?
Also demonstrated in a competitor video is the full collapse of the Springfree™ Trampoline FlexiNet™ enclosure. This video shows an adult male, purposely jumping into the top of the enclosure at a high speed, with the jumper being subsequently lowered to the ground.Yes, an adult jumper may be able to hit the ground – if they purposely attempt to do so.
The key design characteristic of the FlexiNet™ is to maintain jumper safety. It is designed to be flexible and fully deforming. In case of severe misuse, the FlexiNet™ still allows the jumper’s body weight to be absorbed and the jumper to be slowly lowered to the ground.
For more information read the Enclosure Net Test Report 2010.

3: Does the Springfree Trampoline twist?
At first glance it appears the Springfree™ Trampoline could rotate slightly during a bounce. In fact, this effect is so minute that it is undetectable in normal use. In addition, any rotational movement occurs at only four points on the mat edge (roughly in line with the mat weave). At points across the weave, there is no rotational movement.
